For over a decade, Mercer has partnered with the Peace Cathedral to serve people whose needs are not met by other sources. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to help locals improve their English-speaking skills and support local nongovernmental organizations.
This Mercer team in Georgia will offer classes and workshops for teens and adults to allow them to develop multimedia, artificial intelligence and English skills for common professional design tasks. In addition, students and faculty will be involved in outreach to the community by working on site with nongovernmental organization leaders, Ukrainian refugees and religious leaders to enhance their digital presence and English language materials. On days when programming is not offered, the team will have the chance to explore Tbilisi and Georgia.
