This program addresses two needs in the Izúcar community: enhancing English language education and promoting innovative and sustainable agricultural practices. By providing English instruction, interactive STEAM learning and agrarian research collaboration, Mercer students will help expand educational opportunities and provide long-term resources for the region.
Mercer Students will engage in service-learning while developing global citizenship, language proficiency and professional skills. The program provides an immersive experience to live and serve in Mexico, making a meaningful impact through education and research. This program allows Mercer students to combine service, language learning and hands-on research in a way that benefits both the community and their own professional growth.
Students are required to sign up for six hours of credit. The registrar will enroll you in courses for your program, including one class from each of the program's faculty.
